Ryan & April | Kansas City Wedding Photographer
I am a little bit behind on blogging! I recently moved back closer to Branson Missouri (where I am based) and things have been a little crazy around here. Among the crazy things, my new house wasn’t set up for internet so I had been running all over the place to send files, upload things, keep up with e-mails and everything else. Thankfully there was mobile internet for things like e-mail and maintaining my social media! It’s nice to be able to unplug, but I need to find a happy medium between on the internet all the time and being completely unplugged! Fortunately all is well now and the internet is up and running. Now it’s time to get caught up on blogging!
I recently had the honor of being part of Ryan and April’s wedding day just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. Ryan and April had originally planned a fun backyard wedding, but it was moved inside last minute due to rain. Despite the last-minute change, it was a beautiful event and they maintained the fun, outdoor theme that they had envisioned, even indoors.
Ryan is my cousin Robert’s son, and I was honored to be asked to be part of their wedding since Robert is also a photographer. I’ve said it before, but it’s always an honor to have a photographer trust you for their photos (or their families photos.) Robert’s wife April (not to be confused with the bride!) is very crafty and did some amazing DIY projects for the wedding day decor, as well as the flowers. I had to include a picture of one of her projects too, they are impressive!
Ryan, April and I were able to make it outside for bride and groom portraits, despite the rain. They were very laid back, easy to work with, and up for anything. Ryan and April were joined by many family members and friends as they celebrated their special day. Some guests even traveled quite a distance to celebrate with them.
Here are a few of my favorite’s from the special day. Thank you, April and Ryan, for letting me be a part of it!
The beautiful bride!
There is so much focus on bridal photos, but I like to get photos of just the groom too! When the groom is this photogenic, it’s easy for this to be a favorite!
