Payne’s Valley Golf Course Proposal | Christian and Leah
As you may already know, I’ve been a Branson Proposal Photographer for many years. However, Christian and Leah’s Payne’s Valley Golf Course Proposal was a first for me!
This was my first golf course proposal! How? I don’t know! I’ve just never done one before.
But wait, there’s more. 😉 Yes, more fun facts.
Payne’s Valley Golf Course used to be Murder Rock Golf Course, and I used to work there as a bartender. Small world, huh? Well, it’s a little different now. It was bought by new owners and designed by some people you might have heard of. Johnny Morris and Tiger Woods came in and changed it a bit, added some waterfalls, and, as I like to say, “Big Cedar’d” it.
If you’ve ever been to Branson, you know what I mean.
I worked at John Daly’s Murder Rock about 8-9 years ago. If you’re wondering how it got that name, a bunch of people were murdered on a rock. I’m not joking. New names can be good things.
I was doing photography at the time, but I had only been in business for a short time and wasn’t full time yet. It was actually the last “job” that I had before going full time working for myself!

Okay, enough of the fun facts. Let’s get to Christian and Leah’s proposal. However, I do have one more fun fact. This was the first-ever proposal at Payne’s Valley Golf Course! It only recently opened, so I hope that I get to go back.
The weather wasn’t ideal (check out one of the bridge photos!), but these two toughed it out and were outside all day! It was rainy, it was cold, but it was also perfect.
Payne’s Valley has a 19th hole. I’m no golf expert (despite the aforementioned job at the golf course, I just made drinks), but even I know that isn’t typical. If you make a hole in one, you get a $1000 gift card to Bass Pro/Cabelas. I did ask; no one has made a hole in one yet. You can read more about it here.
Although neither Christian nor Leah made the hole in one, Christian did have another surprise for Leah waiting! I was at the 19th hole, pretending to be photographing everyone. Little did she know that I was only there for the two of them!
Christian even pointed me out and said to wave to the camera!! Then, well, I’ll just let you figure it out! Here are some of my favorites from Christian and Leah’s Payne’s Valley Golf Course proposal.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, Leah said yes!
Congratulations again, Christian and Leah! After the proposal, we had to go in and take some fun photos, including the one with Tiger Woods, which is absolutely hilarious.
