Gluten-free, allergy-friendly, vegan bakery in Branson!
I realize that this is a little different from what I normally post, but I am so excited! Warning – don’t read this while you’re hungry. Or do, if you’re in Branson! Then head over and get some cinnamon rolls. I found Sit By Me Bakery on Instagram a few months ago. I was so excited to hear that a gluten-free, allergy-friendly, vegan bakery would be opening in Branson!
You may or may not know that I have Celiac disease. I also avoid dairy and eggs. Even before I was avoiding dairy and eggs, it was difficult to find gluten tree treats that were any good. Food doesn’t bother me because I can make most of what I want on my own, but I am not a baker. With Celiac disease, it’s scary to eat things even if they are supposed to be gluten-free because cross contamination can be an issue.
I was so excited to hear that the entire bakery would be gluten-free! I was excited that I could eat everything they had to offer, but it wasn’t just about me.
As a Branson photographer, I’m often asked for recommendations
I’ve worked with several clients over the past few years who had mentioned food allergies or celiac disease. They often ask me where to go eat, I hate that I don’t have very many suggestions!
Unfortunately, even though Branson has many restaurants, most of them aren’t even remotely allergy-friendly. We have a long way to go, but I am so excited that those with food allergies or intolerances and vegans now have a place to get treats while they are visiting!
After finding them on Instagram, I patiently (okay, impatiently) waited for Sit By Me Bakery to open. It was well worth the wait! Guys, their stuff is good. I mean, really good! The cinnamon rolls are out of this world, you have to try one whether you have any food intolerances or not! The rolls and other goodies can be enjoyed by everyone because you probably wouldn’t know what they didn’t have in them if you didn’t ask.
We all love it!
I’m not much of a cake person but I also tried the cupcakes and the bundtlettes. I liked them better than I ever liked “regular” cake! My kids all gave the cupcakes a big thumbs up. Of course, no blog post would be complete without pictures! I offered to take some photos of their grand opening, and here they are! If you’re visiting Branson, or if you live here, I highly recommend checking it out. You will not be disappointed!
I couldn’t post this without also mentioning how fantastic the owners are. Steve and Angie are absolutely wonderful people. I also love how they are also very transparent with their ingredients, they really care about making sure that everyone is 100% safe when eating their products. Warning, their stuff is so good that sometimes they sell out of the popular items! If you need to place an order ahead of time, you can do that on their website.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope that you stop by and support this new local business! If you’re looking for a Branson photographer for your wedding, proposal, or family reunion, I’d love to hear from you! Check out my other blog posts to see more of my work.
Amy – This is a beautiful blog post. I am so happy that you and Angie and Steve have made this connection, and I second everything you said about them and their bakes!
Thank you! I am too.
