Dogwood Canyon Engagement | Branson Photographer
I am so excited to share Alex and Kirsten’s Dogwood Canyon Proposal with you today. Proposal photography is becoming more prominent, and I hope to continue shooting them! I am so glad that we were able to capture these important images before the flooding that took place throughout the state. Unfortunately, Dogwood Canyon was one of the many places effected by the flooding. As of right now, I have been told that it will take weeks to clear the water and months after that to get Dogwood Canyon open again.
Despite that sad news, I am glad that we were able to capture Kirsten and Alex’s proposal when we did! It was so much fun, and also a little nerve wracking! I had never met them before, so the plan was to try and spot them and follow them down to the last waterfall on the trail. Unfortunately, both Alex and I had no cell service and weren’t able to communicate at all! Fortunately, I was able to find them and inconspicuously follow them throughout the trail. We asked Kirsten if she noticed me, and she didn’t even notice until after the proposal had taken place! That is what I call a successful proposal shoot!
We made a few stops on the way back to take some portraits of the newly engaged couple. It was over 3 miles one way, and there were so many beautiful spots for portraits. I highly recommend that anyone check out Dogwood Canyon once it’s open again. I wish Alex and Kirsten all the best with their engagement and wedding planning.
