I can’t believe that it’s already 2016! 2015 went by so quickly. I was recently reading a post by Jasmine Star that included pictures of Jasmine and her husband shooting various weddings and engagements. They had taken some funny pictures of each other and several other photographers were commenting how they did the same thing. I didn’t know that this was a “thing” but Brandon and I did this all of last year. I didn’t keep very many of the photos that we took, but this year I will! I thought I would post some of them (along with my comments) and then do the same thing next year. At the beginning of the year I started taking Brandon along to weddings an assistant (aka bag carrier) and handed him a camera for fun. He was very good at composing images, finding good spots to take the pictures, and even figuring out exposure. After a couple of months he was ready to be an official second shooter, and he makes things so much easier and less stressful for me at weddings.
This was Brandon’s first wedding, notice the rebel (he is now shooting with a 5DII.)
I am always photogenic and my hair always looks good. (False.)
This Jonesboro Arkansas venue had mirrors everywhere. When there are mirrors everywhere, you have to take a mirror selfie. I had Kylee along as an assistant for this wedding.
We did my sisters engagement session at a creek. After trekking through a creek and fortunately not losing any equipment, I asked my sister to take a picture of us. Brandon did end up losing his shoes shortly after this.
MOST of the time, Brandon’s location ideas are awesome. This one, not so much. (Sorry, Erick, not your fault.)
Unaware that I am being photographed.
I am always up, down, laying on the ground, climbing on things. This is why I rarely wear dresses (and leggings underneath if I do.)
Always photogenic.
You can’t see me, I am invisible!
